Marble Dye With Rit!

Oh marbling, how we love you. The classic swirling technique is so cool, so fun to do. Learn how easy it is to create incredible marble designs with just some shaving cream and Rit All-Purpose Dye!

Step 1: Pick a Color

We have over 50 colors to choose from! Plus, you can mix our dyes to create over 1,000 additional colors with our color formulas!

Step 2: Mix Dye

Mix four tablespoons of Rit All-Purpose Liquid Dye with one cup of very hot water. Pour solution in a small squeeze bottle. Play with the ratios to find the right color for you.

Step 3: Spread Shaving Cream

Fill a baking sheet with shaving cream. Smooth the shaving cream with your hands or a spatula.

Step 3: Drip + Swirl Dye

Drip dye colors all over the shaving cream. Swirl the dye drops with a stick.

Step 4: Apply Fabric

Apply fabric to the shaving cream. Apply light pressure to smooth. Let the fabric sit for 1-2 minutes before removing.

Step 5: Remove + Wash

Slowly remove fabric from the pan. Scrap off excess foam. Rinse in cool water.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Display newly dyed item and enjoy!
