Dyed Golfballs

Step 1:

- Cover work surface with a plastic table cover. Shake liquid dyes before measuring.
Note: Water should about 140°F. If your tap water is not hot enough, heat some in the microwave or a tea kettle.

- Decide what colors you like and prepare dye according to these recipes. Note: Liquid dyes are more concentrated than powder dyes so use half as much dye. Always test color with fabric scrap or paper towel before dyeing golf balls. If color is too light, add more dye; if it is too dark, add more water.

- Rit Liquid Dye Recipes
2 teaspoon Golden Yellow + 2 Cups HOT Water
2 teaspoons Lemon Yellow + 2 Cups HOT Water
2 teaspoons Petal Pink + 2 Cups HOT Water
1 teaspoon Violet + 2 Cups HOT Water
1 teaspoon Apple Green + 2 Cups HOT Water
1 teaspoon Sunshine Orange + 2 Cups HOT Water
1 teaspoon Tangerine + 2 Cups HOT Water
1 teaspoon Evening Blue + 2 Cups HOT Water
1 teaspoon Teal + 4 Cups HOT Water
½ teaspoon Purple + 2 Cups HOT Water
½ teaspoon Fuchsia + 2 Cups HOT Water
½ teaspoon Royal Blue + 2 Cups HOT Water

- Pour dye and water into a plastic container; stir. Make sure container is deep enough so golf ball is covered with dye solution.

- Immerse golf ball into dye solution for 2 to 5 minutes. Check color frequently and remove golf ball when desired color is achieved. Rinse golf ball and dry with paper towels.
