Instructions
  1. Fill glass jar with about 12 ounces of very hot water. Shake dye bottle before pouring. Wearing rubber gloves, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of your favorite Rit All-Purpose Liquid Dye. Stir well.
  2. Test dye color by dipping a paper towel or spare tree directly into the dyebath. If color is too light, add more dye; if color is too dark, add more water
  3. Submerge shells directly into the dyebath. The longer the shells stay in the dye, the darker it will be.
  4. Once desired color is achieved, remove shells from the dye bath and rinse in cool water.
  5. Lay shells flat on clean, dry paper towels until completely dry.
  6. Once dry, use bullet tip of Freeflow Markers for uniform dots and lines.
  7. For teardrops and flowers, use the flat side of the brush tip. Allow the paint to fully dry.
  8. Using hot glue gun, adhere small magnets onto the backside of the shells.
