Outdoor Tablescape

This wasn’t just a tablescape makeover—it was a full-color transformation. We dyed the flowers, candleholders, placemats, and napkins in soft pastel hues for a party setup that’s guaranteed to brighten any gathering.

Supplies
  • Rit Dye All-Purpose Liquid Dye (Lemon Yellow, Aquamarine, Fuchsia, Tangerine)
  • Natural Jute Place Mats
  • Large Containers for Dyeing

Instructions
  1. Fill large container with very hot water and add liquid Rit Dye in desired color, and 1 Tablespoon of dish soap.
  2. Dampen placemat under faucet, then dip in dye bath. Rotate for 5+ minutes to be sure all sides are evenly dyed.
  3. Remove from dye bath and rinse in cool water until water runs clear.
  4. Repeat to create multiple colors. We used Lemon Yellow, Aquamarine, Fuchsia, Apple Green, Hyacinth, and Tangerine.
  5. Air dry overnight and enjoy!
