Canyon Outdoor Placemats

Bring warm, earthy tones to your table with this simple yet stunning DIY. Using our new Canyon shade—a rich, sunbaked terra-cotta from the Rit All-Purpose Dye collection—we gave plain natural jute placemats a beautiful, rustic refresh.

Supplies
  • Rit Dye All-Purpose Liquid Dye in Canyon
  • Natural Jute Place Mats
  • Container for Dyeing

Instructions
  1. Fill large container with very hot water and add liquid Rit Dye in Canyon, and 1 Tablespoon of dish soap.
  2. Dampen placemat under faucet, then dip in dye bath. Rotate for 5+ minutes to be sure all sides are evenly dyed.
  3. Remove from dye bath and rinse in cool water until water runs clear.
  4. Air dry overnight and enjoy!
