Instructions
- Cover table with plastic and gather your supplies.
- Unroll crepe paper and loosely gather.
- Create two dyebaths in separate containers in warm water. Do not use hot water, as this may ruin the crepe paper.
- Pour Petal Pink All-Purpose Liquid Dye into one dyebath and Tangerine All-Purpose Liquid Dye in the other and mix well.
- Dip a paper towel into the dyebaths to test the colors. If too dark, add more water. If too light, add more dye.
- Dip one side of the loosely gathered crepe paper into the Petal Pink Dyebath for 3-5 minutes or until desired color is achieved.
- Repeat to dip the other side into the Tangerine Dyebath for 3-5 minutes or until desired color is achieved.
- Remove from dyebath and allow the crepe paper to dry fully overnight.
- Once dry, cut out 5 large petal shapes from the crepe paper.
- Cut each petal in half and adhere floral wire to the cut edge.
- Overlap the floral wire slightly with the other half and secure.
- Bend the wired crepe paper petal inward at the base, and flare out towards the ends like a real flower petal.
- Adhere petals directly onto hanging light fixture base OR create a 2” ring with cardboard around the base to adhere petals onto.
- To hide the cardboard, cut up fringe with leftover crepe paper and adhere around the light bulb.
- Hang and enjoy!
