Instructions
- Clean buttons with rubbing alcohol to remove any finishes that may interfere with dye absorption. Set aside.
- Wearing rubber gloves, mix 2 tablespoon of Rit DyeMore for Synthetics with 1 tablespoons of very hot water in a squeeze bottle. Repeat with additional colors as desired.
- Fill remainder of squeeze bottle with lotion. Secure the top and shake vigorously until dye is mixed with the lotion.
- Create a bed of lotion on a baking tray or protected surface.
- Apply the dye lotion mixture on top of the bed of lotion.
- Use a toothpick to marble and swirl the colors into the bed of lotion.
- Place clean buttons from Step 1 with right side down onto marbled designs and apply light pressure.
- Let the buttons sit overnight.
- Once set, remove buttons from bed of lotion and rinse in warm water to remove any lotion residue.
