Instructions
  1. Prewash canvas in warm, soapy water. This helps to remove any finishes that may interfere with dye absorption.
  2. Accordion fold or “fan fold” the canvas down the length of the canvas.
  3. Wrap rubber bands tightly around the canvas at various points.
  4. Wearing rubber gloves, mix 1/2 cup of well-shaken Indigo dye with two cups of very hot tap water. Mix well.
  5. Submerge canvas in dyebath for 20 minutes.
  6. Rinse with cool water until rinse water runs clear.
  7. Remove rubber bands and let canvas dry.
  8. Tear a 1.25” wide strip. To make it easier to rip, snip material with a scissors to get the tear started.
  9. Tear the strip into 2.5” long pieces.
  10. Attach ear wire to pieces.
  11. And enjoy!
