Turn unfinished wood birdhouses into a festive winter wonderland scene with Rit All-Purpose Dye.
Supplies
- Rit All-Purpose Dye in Sunshine Orange, Purple, Neon Green, Black
- (4) Unfinished Wood Houses in various sizes
- Mod Podge
- Brush
- Fake Snow
- Small Decorative Items like Bottle Brush Trees (optional)
- Small container for dyeing
- Hot Glue Gun and Sticks
- Measuring Cup and Spoon
- Paper Towels
- Rubber Gloves
Instructions
- Gather supplies.
- Before dyeing, rinse wood pieces in cool water. This helps to remove any finishes that may interfere with dye absorption.
- Add 2 tbsp of well-shaken All-Purpose dye into a 2 cup container with hot water and stir to mix.
- Apply dye solution to damp wooden house with a brush. Allow each layer to fully dry before adding on another.
