  • Rit Dye All-Purpose Liquid Dye in Scarlet
  • Cotton or Nylon Ribbons in Various styles
  • Blue Star Fabric
  • Dowel
  • Scissors
  • Paper Towels
  • Gloves

Instructions
  1. Gather you supplies and cut your ribbon into equal length pieces, around ~40” long.
  2. Create a dye bath with hot water and Rit Dye in Scarlet.
  3. Add half of the ribbon to the dye bath and stir occasionally, until it’s your desired color.
  4. Rinse and let dry flat overnight.
  5. Tie your ribbon onto your dowel, alternating between white and red ribbon.
  6.  To create the star section, cut fabric to size, leaving additional length to create ties. To have crisp edges, you can either sew, or use fusible interfacing and an iron.
  7. Tie star fabric onto your dowel and you’re done!
