You'll Also Need

  •   glass bowl large

  •   glue

Step By Step

  1. Pick a poem that has special significance to you. I chose For Strong Women by Marge Piercy. Use Elmer's Blue Gel Glue to write the words of your poem all over the front of your pants and let dry overnight.

  2. Flip your pants over and finish writing your poem on the other side. Let dry overnight.

  3. Mix up some Pearl Gray dye in warm, but not hot, water and either salt or vinegar depending on the fabric content of your pants. Let sit until you're satisfied with the color.

  4. Remove from the dye and wash and dry in your machines as usual. Wear your pants feeling awesome as you remember the significance of what you're walking around in.

Hi Janet, Yes, the glue does wash away. Hope this helps!

Are there instructions on how to do glue resist and spray bottle technique combined?
