Instructions:

  1. Protect work area with plastic table cover.
  2. Cut watercolor paper so it fits into microwave. (Tip: Use the largest piece of paper that will fit in microwave – then you'll have extra for other projects.)
  3. Pour resist medium on paper plate. Use foam brush to apply resist to square stamp. Stamp repeatedly on watercolor paper in random pattern, brushing on more medium after each impression. When done, immediately clean stamp. Let paper air dry or dry with heat tool.
  4. Pour a small amount of Scarlet dye into shallow bowl. Sponge dye onto watercolor paper in random fashion, leaving white space to add Royal Blue dye. Pour Royal Blue dye into a bowl and sponge paper in white spaces.
  5. Heat set dyes and dry paper in the microwave: Line bottom of microwave with paper towels. Place the dyed paper in the microwave and set on high for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove paper and gently rinse off the Batik medium using a wet sponge or foam brush. Dry paper in the microwave for 1 – 2 minutes.
  7. Using black ink, overstamp another image from the stamp cube onto the dyed paper.
  8. Cut an L-shape from the dyed paper. Edge the piece with gold pen.
  9. Cut a length of red ribbon to fit the lower portion of the "L," leaving enough ribbon to fold over to the back. Thread ribbon through the charm and glue the charm and ribbon to the bottom of the "L," wrapping the ends of the ribbon to the back.
  10. Glue the "L" to the scrapbook page as shown.
  11. Cut the photos to desired size and round corners. Layer photos on resist dyed paper and trim to desired size. Edge the dyed paper with the gold pen. Glue the photos to the scrapbook paper as shown.
  12. Computer generate the title and various descriptive words and print on white copy paper in red ink. Cut out the title and the words using the deckle edge scissor. Edge the pieces using red marker or ink pad.
  13. Glue the title and the other words onto the page as shown.
