Upcycled Tangerine Tango Top

Step 2:

Dye Preparation: Wearing rubber gloves, shake dye bottles and measure 2 Tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons Tangerine and 2 Tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons Sunshine Orange with 1 cup hot water. Stir well to mix dye and water.

Carefully transfer 8 cups heated hot water into large dye container. Pour dye solution into hot water and stir well.

Wet top in warm water and squeeze out excess water.

Immerse top in the dye bath and stir continuously for 10 minutes. Wearing rubber gloves, occasionally squeeze the dye through the shirt. This will help to achieve an even color. Allow the shirt to remain in the dye bath until the desired shade is achieved. Color will appear lighter when dry.

Remove the shirt from the dye bath and squeeze out excess dye. Rinse in cold water running water until the water runs clear. Then wash in warm water with mild detergent, rinse, dry and iron.
