OVERVIEW STEP-BY-STEP

This boring sweater needed some color and a few inches to make a cute dress.

Step 1:

Started with this grey sweater was a little boring and a weird length.

Step 2:

I cut off the sleeves to make short cap sleeves. Then I cut it across the center. The top half, I dyed in denim dye and left the bottom undyed. I had another section of an old sweater that was dyed tangerine. Then I just sewed it up with a zigzag stitch. Also, took in the sides a bit to make it sweeter.
