Marbled Denim Tights

Step 2:

- Wrap tights loosely with rubber bands. Note: The tighter the rubber bands are tied, the more white area there will be.

- Cover work surface with plastic table cover.

Step 3:

- Wearing rubber gloves, shake Denim liquid dye bottle. Then measure 2 Tablespoons dye and pour into glass bowl. Add 4 cups very hot tap water (140F); stir.

- Test dye color by dipping small piece of scrap fabric in dye bath. If color is too dark, add more water, if it’s too light, add more dye.

Step 4:

- Immerse wrapped wet tights into dye bath. Let set for 4 – 6 minutes. To help dye penetration, turn tights occasionally and push down with spoon.

- Lift tights from dye bath and remove rubber bands.

- Rinse tights in cool water until water runs clear. Then launder in warm water with a mild detergent; rinse and hang to dry.
