Make a Flowery Fresh Mother's Day Card

Step 2:

2. Shake all dye bottles before getting started. Wearing craft gloves, use paintbrush to apply Violet dye directly from bottle onto one floral rubber stamp. Then stamp onto dictionary-style patterned paper.

Step 3:

Repeat multiple times until random pattern results.

Step 4:

3. Take a coffee filter and continue stamping with the floral stamp and Violet dye. Stamp repeatedly all over the coffee filter. Then using the same brush, take a second coffee filter and apply Violet dye directly from the bottle over the entire surface. Set aside.

4. Rinse brush. Apply Sunshine Orange dye to second floral stamp. Then stamp directly onto dictionary style paper. Repeat multiple times for random pattern.

5. Take a third coffee filter and continue stamping with the floral stamp and the Sunshine Orange dye all over the coffee filter. Set aside.

6. Rinse brush. Apply Aquamarine dye to third floral stamp. Then stamp randomly onto the dictionary-style paper in the open areas. Repeat until desired pattern is achieved.


7. Take the fourth coffee filter and continue stamping with the floral stamp and the Aquamarine dye all over the coffee filter. Set aside.

8. To heat set dye: Line bottom of microwave with paper towels. Place stamped dictionary-style paper in the microwave and heat on high for approximately 2 minutes, watching to ensure it does not scorch.

9. Then place each coffee filter, one at a time, on paper towels, and heat on high in the microwave for approximately 2 minutes, watching to ensure they do not scorch.

10. Cut teal card stock to 5 1/4” x 8 1/8”. Fold in half to form card.

11. From stamped dictionary-style paper, cut 5” x 7 3/4” piece.

12. Apply Boysenberry inkpad directly to all edges. Fold in half and mount over fold on card stock on front and back of card.

13. Cut 1” x 5” strip of Violet coffee filter. Mount just below center of card.

14. Cut 2 flowers from each dye-stamped coffee filter. Layer two of each color together to form 3 flowers. Add a glitter button to the center of each flower. Mount flowers over Violet strip on card front.

15. Ink “I’m so glad there’s you!” stamp with Boysenberry ink. Stamp onto Vanilla card stock. Trim to desired size (2 3/4” x 1/2” for verse shown).

16. Apply Boysenberry ink directly to all edges of stamped verse. Gently pat with Perfect Crafting Pouch to speed drying of ink.

17. Mount verse on teal card stock and cut mat approximately 1/8” larger on all sides.

18. Mount verse under flowers, off center toward right edge of front of card.

Step 5:

Inside of Card:

1. For inside of card, cut floral-stamped dictionary paper to 5 1/4” x 3”. Apply Boysenberry inkpad directly to all edges. Mount to center on inside of card.

2. Ink “Happy Mother’s Day” stamp with Boysenberry ink. Stamp onto Vanilla card stock. Trim to desired size (1” x 2 1/2” for verse shown).

3. Apply Boysenberry ink directly to all edges of stamped verse. Gently pat with Perfect Crafting Pouch to speed drying of ink.

4. Mount verse on teal card stock and cut mat approximately 1/8” larger on all sides. Mount on inside of card centered over flower-stamped paper.
