OVERVIEW STEP-BY-STEP

Hand-made gift tags show how much you care and send a special message.

Step 1:

1. Cover work surface with plastic table cover.

2. Heat water in the microwave or in a tea kettle. Pour hot water into a small spray about half way full.

3. Wearing latex gloves, shake dye bottle. Add ½ eye dropper of dye to water. (Ann prepared one bottle with Apple Green dye and one with Purple dye.)

Step 2:

4. Add small scoop of metallic powder to dye solution. Shake and swirl to mix.

Step 3:

5. Place shipping tag and lace in a cardboard box. Spray both sides to desired color. Let dry overnight or dry with heat gun.

Step 4:

6. After paper is completely dry, stamp “message” and “to and from” on gift tag, as desired.

7. Glue buttons and lace to gift tag, as desired.

Step 5:

8. To attach ribbon: Fold ribbon in half and insert loop through hole in gift tag. Insert cut ends through loop; pull tightly.

Attach gift tags to wrapped packages!
