Rit Shows Off Fall Colors at Southern Women’s Show

Ana and Megan, mother & daughter hosts of When Creativity Knocks, an online web-based craft show, recently presented a series of DIY workshops at the Southern Women’s Show in Charlotte.  Rit was proud to be among the esteemed sponsors of the WCK workshops.

At the show, Ana and Megan teamed up with our friend, the talented designer, Cindi Bisson, who demonstrated how to make a lovely refashioned Tassel Pendant Necklace.

Using strips of torn bed sheets that were dyed in Rit custom colors, Cindi matched all of Pantone’s Top 10 Fall Colors:  Bamboo, Emberglow, Honeysuckle, Phlox, Cedar, Deep Teal, Coffee Liquer, Nougat, Orchid Hush, and Quarry.  You can find the recipes for all these fabulous fashion shades on the ColoRit Color Formula Guide. 

For the pendant, Cindi chose a wooden shaped leaf, which she demonstrated how to dye-paint with Rit.  For added texture and design, Cindi ink stamped designs over the dyed wood.  For extra pizzazz and embellishment, she added buttons that were hand-dyed with Rit.
