Rit Dye Collaborates With Vans Boardshorts For DIY Surf Fashions!

We're happy to announce the launch of Vans x RIT|Era Classic, a really fantastic collaboration with Vans Apparel. They've paired their classic boardshorts with Rit Dye to create a kit so surfers can DIY their own design for a signature look. Here's the inspiration from our friends at Vans...

"In the early days of Vans, anyone could walk into their local Vans shop to design their very own pair of custom shoes from a stock of fabrics, prints, materials and colors. In modern times, this right of personalization has fallen to the wayside in favor of mass production. This generic approach, created a backlash in the form of do-it-yourself ethos that defines surfing, skateboarding and punk rock. The Vans x RIT|Era Classic is our effort to once again share our custom culture with consumers. This spring we are excited to present the opportunity for you to turn a timeless boardshort into your own creation with a few dye packets, some creativity and a DIY attitude. The package includes one pair of white Era Classic boardshorts as well as four packs of RIT dye (red, blue, yellow and black) and a formula guide - combine that with your own imagination for a one of kind boardshort creation!"
