Rit Brings Back Aquamarine!

Dianne

Aquamarine is back and has been added to the Rit line of liquid dyes! This beautiful, balmy aqua blue was in the Rit line of dyes for many years. Most recently it was only available on the internet and customers have been asking for it's return to their local retail stores. They know how Aquamarine adds a lively color splash to fun summer fashions and home decor.  Aquamarine should to start popping up on shelves by early summer. In the meantime, look for new aqua color inspirations coming within the next few weeks to the ColoRit Color Guide. We've been mixing up brand new color recipes for you to create your own vibrant shades of beachy blue.   Here's a sneak peak:

This pretty bright Aquamarine blue stands alone or it can be used in small amounts to create gradations of color, ranging from a Pale (# 574) shade to Light (#575), to Robins Egg (#576)to a full saturated Aquamarine (#577). What a beautiful range of color values for a quilt project or dip-dyed curtain panels.

What happens when you mix Aquamarine with a splash of Kelly Green? A perfect Turquoise (#572)! Add a little more Kelly Green and more Aquamarine and it turns to Gumby Green (#573). Change the proportion of Aquamarine and Kelly Green and it turns to Seafoam (#586). Add Tan to Aquamarine and it makes Sea Glass (#587).

Looking for wonderful bright lime greens? Try mixing Aquamarine with various amounts of Lemon Yellow and you’ll create a range of yellow greens, ranging from
Lemon-Lime (#578)  to Lime Green (#579)  to Leaf Green (#580)  to Grass Green (#581).

Well that's just a small sampling of what's in store with the new Aquamarine colors. It mixes so well with many other dye colors. It will be hard to stop the color explorations. Stay tuned, crafty friends, as more and more colors are added to the ColoRit Color Guide!
