Cathie Filian

We love Mod Podge! Here’s Cathie Filian, Plaid designer and spokesperson, caught dancing with a moving jar of Mod Podge. Rit dye and Mod Podge mix well together and have been known to change the color of craft projects. Check out the new Mod Podge Mod Melts, designed by Cathie and Steve Piacenza for Plaid Crafts. http://www.plaidonline.com/mod-podge/brand/home.htm Available in June 2013, there are Mod Molds for flowers, ornaments, nature and royal icons. Fill the molds, paint them and use them to embellish!

Laura Kelly

I found Laura Kelly, artist and designer, in the Plaid booth doodling away! Laura just designed a line of me & my peeps™ Family Decals for Plaid. These whimsical stick-like figure decals capture every aspect of a family and their daily activities. Click here for more information. (www.plaidonline.com/peepsdecals)   To kick off this new line, Laura was drawing caricatures of those who stopped by.  You may remember Laura’s wedding this summer where she and her guests tie-dyed T-shirts the night before the wedding.  Visit her at http://www.laurakellydesigns.com/laurakellydesignsblog/

Mark Montano

The makers of E6000 Glue, Eclectic Products, were giving away copies of Mark’s newest book, The Big-Ass Book of Bling! And, indeed, it is an awesome book filled with all types of jewelry pieces made from unusual items, like ping-pong balls and safety pins. Mark Montano is a fashion designer turned crafter extraordinaire! You may know him for The Big-Ass Book of Crafts andThe Big-Ass Book of Home Décor.  Just imagine what he might do with Rit dye. Take a look at his website. (www.markmontano.com)

In April, Eclectic Products is introducing a new E6000 Spray Adhesive, designed to bond everything with no odor!  Click here for more information. (www.eclecticproducts.com)

Beckie Farrant

You may know Beckie as a craft blogger and visited her at www.infarrantlycreative.net  She is also a creative designer who often uses Rit dye.  I spotted her in the Coats & Clark booth wearing this wild animal mask, but she is still recognizable by her red hair.

Beckie’s mask is made with “phoomph,” a new product from Coats & Clark. It’s a double-sided adhesive for fabric that was used to stiffen the layers of felt used to make this mask.  Click here for more information. www.coatsandclark.com   Must be lots of possibilities for Rit-dyed fabric.  We’ll be working on that!
