Looking ahead to autumn, here's a luxurious wrap to dye for!

Evy Hawkins, an embroidery designer and teacher, created this beautiful wrap using silk fabrics hand dyed with Rit dye. Beginning with earth-tone fabrics in various shades of beige, tan and cream, she overdyed them using Rit Tangerine, Scarlet, Wine and Golden Yellow. The colors were mixed and blended to create the rich shades of autumn.

After dyeing the silk fabrics, they were needle felted together and then embellished with leaf appliqués, needle felting accents and beads.
